Lakaz Chamarel Lodge is located at 400m altitude, overlooking Mauritius' southwest coast, about an hour from the airport in the south. Set within 12 hectares of gardens and tropical forest, it provides a refreshing alternative to the coastal resorts occupying the island.
The design of Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge draws inspiration from diverse cultures—African, Indian, Far Eastern, and Mauritian—reflecting the island's cultural blend. The lodge has 20 uniquely designed rooms and suites with a minibar, hairdryer, telephone, tea/coffee facilities, iPod docking, and outdoor showers.

Lakaz Standard— 50 m² (3 Units)
These rooms are designed for two people. The Lakaz Standard rooms are double rooms of 50 m2 located near the main building and restaurant. They offer a comfortable stay with a terrace and an open shower. The room “Feraye” is inspired by Indian style decoration, featuring Indian artworks and paintings. The “Dibois” room represents Indian culture with imported furniture from India. The “Bambou” room has an Asian touch with bamboo decor.

Kaz Superior— 80 m² (4 Units)
Suites (Namasté, Tropikal, Zen, Africa) are spacious units that can accommodate 2 persons, up to 2 children (less than 13 years) or 3 adults. These 80m² suites feature a separate room and living area, as well as a terrace, open-air shower and bathtub. They are positioned within the garden with a view of the surrounding mountains and overlook a 16-metre swimming pool. The Namasté suite, for instance, embraces Indian traditions with beautiful saris and dancing paintings.

These suites offer beautiful mountain and garden views. Each suite can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (less than 13 years old) or 3 adults. They feature a private pool and are around 90-95m² in size. The names of these suites are inspired by love on Mauritius Island.

Sea View Pool— 105 m² (4 Units)
These suites provide stunning sea views and come with a private pool. Each suite is around 105 m² in size and can accommodate 2 adults, 1 child or 3 adults. The suite names are inspired by different mountains and landscapes of Mauritius, such as Tourelle Tamarin, Rempart, Trois Mamelles, and Piton Rivière Noire.

Exclusive Suite Piton Canot— 115 m² (1 Unit)
This suite is the most luxurious at Lakaz Chamarel. It offers panoramic sea views,comes with a private pool, and features a kiosk. The suite is approximately 115 m² in size and can accommodate 2 adults, 1 child or 3 adults. It’s named after the Piton Canot mountain, known for its incredible views over the west coast of Mauritius. This suite includes daily fruit platters or pastries, as well as evening snacks served in the suite.

Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge invites you to savour the rich tapestry of Mauritian flavours. The culinary journey pays homage to the island’s bountiful produce, tropical fruits, and traditional methods of preparing local vegetables.
Under the guidance of passionate chef Eddy, the culinary team is dedicated to crafting a delightful symphony of flavours. They are supported by a skilled kitchen brigade, including a talented sous chef, who continuously explores the culinary landscape to satisfy your discerning palate.
Enhancing this culinary experience are the warm and welcoming hosts, Brinda and Rose, whose radiant smiles introduce you to the delights of local cuisine. In the inviting dining room, the accomplished F&B manager and the team, led by the renowned cocktail virtuoso, Ravissen, will expertly serve you.
Breakfast: Join us between 7:45 and 10:15 for a full American breakfast experience. The buffet offers an array of choices, including coffee, espresso, tea, hot chocolate, fresh fruit juice, house-made bread, jams, butter, cheese, cereals, fruits, cakes, and tarts. For those seeking a heartier start to the day, you’ll also find eggs from the village of Chamarel, bacon, and tomatoes. And for late risers, we offer a ‘late’ continental breakfast after the primary buffet service concludes.
Dinner: The dinner service begins at 19:00 and continues until 21:30 for last-minute kitchen orders. The dining experience includes an appetiser and a selection from a menu that boasts two starters, two main courses, and a delectable dessert. Additionally, the à la carte dinner menu is available, and occasionally, dinner buffets are presented on special occasions.
Lunch: The lunch offerings are diverse and feature an à la carte menu with various salads, authentic Mauritian dishes, fresh pasta, grilled fish, and sandwiches. If you have specific preferences, we are delighted to prepare a customised lunch for you upon request. We also encourage you to explore the charming local restaurants in the village of Chamarel.
Room Service: From 8:00 to 21:00, the In-Room dining menu is available for your convenience. You will find the ‘In-Room Dining’ menu in each room, allowing you to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the comfort of your accommodation.
