Seychelles is a popular luxury holiday destination, known for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and unique wildlife. The islands are also home to the Aldabra giant tortoise, the world’s largest tortoise species.

Seychelles is a young country that gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1976. Since then, the country has worked hard to improve its economy and infrastructure. Tourism is a significant contributor to the Seychelles economy, and the government is working to increase visitor numbers to the islands.

The ideal vacation itinerary would combine the three main islands of Mahe, Praslin, and La-Digue, each of which offers something unique. The islands have a wide range of hotels, from luxury resorts to smaller family-run guesthouses. Transfers between the islands are available by plane, boat, or helicopter.

Nothing less than the ideal combination of luxury, serenity, and bliss… Seychelles is as pure as it gets. If you’re planning a trip to Seychelles, be sure to check out our exclusive offers. We’ve got all the information you need to make the most of your holiday, including where to stay, what to do, and how to get around.

Weather in Seychelles

Seychelles is a tropical jewel situated just below the equator and blessed with a year-round equably warm, pleasant climate, making it the ideal holiday destination.

The Seychelles is welcoming all year, but those looking for specific activities should consider the two opposing trade wind seasons.

South-East Trade Winds: May to September – The weather is typically windy, with scattered showers possible. The best time for sailing and surfing. This is also the driest time of the year.

North-West Trade Winds: End of November to February – Characterized by tropical showers with high temperatures. However, it is the best time for fishing and diving because marine life thrives in such weather conditions. The season of north-westerly winds lasts until March.

In general, April – the transitional month between the two seasons – has the best weather and the best visibility for scuba diving and snorkelling.

Seychelles is located outside of the cyclone and hurricane belts, making it one of the few places on the planet with no real natural hazards or dangers. However, the sun is always intense, so suntan lotions with high protection factors are highly recommended.

Places To Visit In Seychelles

If you’re looking for a luxury beach holiday, you can’t go wrong with the Seychelles. This group of islands off the coast of Africa is a true paradise, and there’s plenty to see and do. Here’s a quick guide to some of the best places to visit in the Seychelles.

Mahe:

The largest island in the archipelago. Mahé is home to the capital city of Victoria, as well as some of the best beaches in the Seychelles. Be sure to spend some time relaxing on the beach, and don’t miss the chance to go for a swim in the crystal-clear waters. There’s plenty to see and do, from hiking in the lush rainforest to exploring the local market.

Praslin:

The second largest island in Seychelles, Praslin is known for its lush vegetation and stunning beaches. The main attraction on Praslin is the Vallee de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only place in the world where you can find the coco de mer palm tree.

There’s also lots of nature to explore, with a number of hiking trails leading through the island’s verdant vegetation

La Digue:

The smallest of the main Seychelles islands, La Digue is a tranquil place where time seems to stand still. This is the perfect place to relax and forget about the outside world, with its sandy beaches, clear waters and friendly locals.

Bird Island:

Bird Island is a small, uninhabited island located north of Mahé. It’s a popular spot for birdwatching, as the island is home to a number of rare and endangered species. It’s also home to some beautiful beaches and coral reefs, making it a great place for snorkelling and diving.

No visit to the Seychelles would be complete without a stop at one of the many uninhabited islands. These islands are truly a slice of paradise, and you can find some of the best snorkelling and diving in the Seychelles off their shores.

Whether you’re looking for beaches, nature, or adventure, the Seychelles has something for everyone. Start planning your trip today and you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience.
