Laïla, Seychelles, a tribute portfolio resort, is a luxury boutique hotel located in Anse Royale, the King’s Bay, a crescent-shaped, reef-locked bay known for its beauty. The resort is part of Marriott Bonvoy’s collection of independent hotels and marks the brand’s debut in the Seychelles. It is situated near Anse Royal, a picturesque white sandy beach on the southeastern coast of Mahé, the Seychelles’ largest island.
The resort is designed by MMAC Design and features a calming colour palette complemented by bold pops of green, reflecting the beautiful tropical surroundings. The lobby ceiling has been carved to reflect the shapes of the many islands in the Seychelles, adding a unique touch to the interior design.
The resort offers 76 guestrooms and eight suites, each boasting a mural of the Seychelles’ plant silhouette, a hand-woven macramé bed board, and a room separator made with wood and rattan, natural materials often used in the island’s traditional architecture. Each room is air-conditioned and equipped with free WiFi, a private bathroom, a balcony, a kettle, a flat-screen TV, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms also feature a patio and sea views. The Senior Suite comes with a private plunge pool and a terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean and surrounding mountains.
